Bully Ray Interview

The ex-ECW and WWE star has proved himself a key player in the promotion for the last two years.
And as head of the “Aces and Eights” faction, he’s carved himself a central role in the Impact machine.
The abrasive New Yorker took the time to pick up the phone to FT this week and assured me that Brooke Hogan was busy massaging his feet while he spoke to yours truly.
As you can imagine, it was quite an image, but he assures me her technique and attitude are flawless – “like every good girl should”.
He says: “I would love to see Jim Ross in TNA. I think TNA could benefit hugely from Jim.
He is a straight shooter, a man’s man.
“On a personal level, when Devon and I signed for WWE, we negotiated with Jim and he was the man who we signed the contracts with.
He’s just a top quality person.”
It is arguable that Bully’s recent superb run in TNA is the zenith of his professional career.
For FT’s money he stole the show at the Wembley tapings for the last two years.
“How do you think I’m doing?” he demands.
“I’d say I’m doing pretty frickin’ good. Brooke!
Harder.”
Who says men can’t multi-task? Bully is not impressed when I suggest the Aces gimmick might have run its course, and as we head into Bound For Glory next month, FT suspects that there may be some sort of fracture ahead.
He says: “TNA are doing great.
We have the best working roster in the business.
We have a little problem in that it’s hard to take these huge strides.
This company has only been going for 11 years, and we are the second biggest in the world.
Building a brand takes time.”
With the prospect of “kicking AJ Styles in the face and beating him in the middle of the ring” a motivational tool for the 20-year professional, the showpiece should be a match for the ages.
TNA return to the UK for their annual tour in January and Bully is looking forward to the trip – whether the Aces are still around or not.
“It doesn’t matter whether there are 100 of us or four of us.
I will march into the UK, and the only thing that matters is that I am the World Heavyweight Champion.”

●TNA tour the UK in January – tickets from gigsandtours.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
