NJPW Fantasticamania 2014

Fantasticamania is an annual show hosted by New Japan that features both New Japan and CMLL talent on the card. This year saw five Fantasticamania shows take place with the final three featuring on iPPV.

Jake Roberts Hall of Fame Announcement Video

After the previous announcement of The Ultimate Warrior  going into the Hall of Fame, the promotion have now announced the induction of Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
After the inclusion of Bruno Sammartino last year, it seems that WWE are finally on their way to legitimizing their Hall of Fame before the physical version is built.
All we need now is Randy Savage to be announced......

Woooooo! Need I say more? Flair's theme is different because it was a well-known tune before he took it. Still, to this day, I can't hear this without immediately thinking of Flair. When you can take a popular-ish song and do that, you've officially made it your own. This theme is immortal, just like the man it accompanies. - Wryder

Christmas Countdown #3: Hulk Hogan

When Degeneration X was announced at number four in this countdown yesterday, I asked whether an entrance theme could define an era.

Today I'm flat out telling you that THIS theme WAS wrestlings first boom period. You all know it, if you were around in Hogans heyday you WILL mark out a little when you listen to it and, if you disagree with either of those two statements, well, you're just lying.

If it's possible for an entrance theme to define a time in history, then surely this would be the one to define the WWFs Attitude era?

It's not just the song either, it's that entrance video. Defining everything that this group of degenerates were about before they'd even got to the ring. Genius!

We are in our top five - and what a way to start it off! Edges Metalingus theme may be the best wrestling theme of the modern "we get real bands to play our entrances" era. It fits the criteria of letting you know who's coming out from the first bar and it's unmistakable....

Christmas Countdown #6: The Four Horsemen

If you don't recognize that this is one of the top two or three stables of all time, you're a cock. If you don't recognize that this theme fit these guys to a T, you're also a cock. There are few entrance themes I remember from my childhood more than this one. Yeah, I'm a little young to remember the glory days of the Horsemen, but I remember how much I marked out at 10 years old or so when Anderson, Flair, Benoit and Mongo...yes, even Mongo...would come down the ring holding up those four fingers with this song playing. Gets me all excited just thinking about it. - Wryder
