- Mercedes Martinez defeated Alicia by disqualification.
- Monsta Mack defeated Trent Acid.
- Monty Brown defeated EC Negro.
- Frankie Kazarian defeated Xavier.
- JAPW Tag Team Champions The S.A.T. (Joél and José Maximo) defeated The Outcast Killaz (Diablo Santiago and Oman Turtuga) and The Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark Briscoe) to retain the title.
- Teddy Hart defeated JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion Azrieal in the finals of a Gauntlet match to win the title, ending Azrieal's third reign. The match also included Arcadia, Javi Air, Quiet Storm, Grim Reefer and M-Dogg20.
- Rhino defeated JAPW Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal to win the title.

2006 - Handsome Joe defeats TAKA Michinoku to win the Kaientai Dojo Strongest-K Title in Tokyo, Japan.

2006 - Jason Blackman and Jeremy V defeat Pomp and Circumstance (Ace Rockwell and Shaun Tempers) for the NWA Anarchy Tag Team Title in Cornelia, Georgia.

2006 - Mike Carter defeats Kevin Northcutt to win the NWA Mississippi Heavyweight Title in Magee, Mississippi, ending Northcutt's second reign.

2006 - Rob McBride defeats Mitch Connor to win the Carolina Wrestling Federation Mid-Atlantic Television Title.

On this Day in Pro Wrestling History

1986 - Arn Anderson defeats Wahoo McDaniel in a tournament final to win the vacant NWA World Television Title in Greensboro, North Carolina. The title was stripped from Dusty Rhodes on October 19 due to Rhodes having his leg broken by Ric Flair and Ole and Arn Anderson on September 29.


2006 - Aaron Stevens defeats CM Punk for the OVW Television Title in Louisville, Kentucky.

2007 - WWE signed their first third generation Diva, Nattie Neidhart, who would debut on the main roster as Natalya.  Neidhart is the granddaughter of Stu Hart.

2007 - Two-time NWA World Midgets' Champion Harold "Cowboy" Lang dies at age 56 in Portland, Oregon.

2007 - Kaio wins his third Italian Championship Wrestling Italian Heavyweight Title in Aosta, Italy, defeating Andres Diamond.

1981 - At World Class Championship Wrestling's "Christmas Star Wars" in Dallas, Texas, Jose Lothario defeats Ernie Ladd in Dallas, Texas to win the NWA Texas Brass Knuckles Title for the third time. Also, Tiny Tom defeats Little Tokyo to win the NWA World Midgets' Title, ending Tokyo's second reign.

1982 - Mike Rotundo defeats Bad Leroy Brown in Charlotte, North Carolina to win the NWA Mid-Atlantic Television Title.

1982 - World Class Championship Wrestling holds the first "Christmas Star Wars" event at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas, drawing a crowd of 18,000 fans (and a Texas record gate at the time) for a show that featured one of the most famous heel turns of all time, a turn that sparked arguably the greatest feud in Texas wrestling history, the Von Erichs vs. The Fabulous Freebirds. Here are the results from the show:
- Brian Adias defeated Frank Dusek.
- Jose Lothario & Al Madril defeated Magic Dragon & Checkmate.
- Lone Eagle defeated Little Tokyo.
- World Class American Champion Kevin Von Erich defeated King Kong Bundy via DQ.
- World Class Texas Champion David Von Erich defeated Bill Irwin.
- Ken Mantel won a Battle Royal.
- Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy & David Von Erich (subbing for Buddy Roberts) defeated Tom Steele, Mike & Tommy Sharpe to become the first World Class Six-Man Tag Team Champions. After the match, David gave his share of the title to Roberts, since he was the third member of the Freebirds.
- NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair defeated Kerry Von Erich in a No Disqualification Steel Cage match in which Michael Hayes was the referee. Leading up to the match, World Class had run a storyline where, due to past controversial decisions in Flair title matches, there was a dispute as to who the referee would be. It was decided that Hayes, rather than usual officials David Manning or Bronco Lubich, would be "tough but fair" and able to keep control in the match. During the match, Von Erich and Flair got knocked out, and Hayes dragged Kerry on top of Flair and counted to three. However, Von Erich refused to accept the victory, and gave the match to Flair. Hayes screamed at Von Erich, calling him an "idiot" and as Kerry exited the cage, Terry Gordy slammed the door on Von Erich's head, sparking off the Freebird heel turn and the beginning of the legendary feud with the Von Erichs.

On this Day in Pro Wrestling History

1970 - Toru Tanaka defeats Fritz Von Erich in Houston, Texas to win the NWA American Heavyweight Title (later to become the World Class World Heavyweight Title), ending Fritz' eighth reign as champion.

1975 - Giant Baba won All Japan Pro Wrestling's 20-man Open Championship tournament in Tokyo with 11 points, beating out second place finishers Abdullah The Butcher and Dory Funk Jr. by one point.

1978 - Ricky Steamboat defeats Ric Flair in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to win the United States Title for a second time.  This also marked the end of Flair's second reign with the belt.

1991 - Blue Panther defeats Satanico in a tournament final to become the first CMLL World Middleweight Title in Acapulco, Mexico.  Panther would vacate the title six months later when he jumped to the rival AAA promotion.

1957 - The Atomic Blonds (Johnny Valentine & Chet Wallich) defeated Joe & Guy Brunetti for the AWA World Tag Team Title in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

1968 - The Medics (Billy Garrett & Jim Starr) defeat Wahoo McDaniel & Jose Lothario in the finals of a tournament to become the first NWA Florida Tag Team Champions.

1972 - In an undercard bout on an AWA show, Ric Flair makes his professional wrestling debut, going to a ten minute draw with George "Scrap Iron" Gadaski.

1973 - Antonio Inoki defeats Johnny Powers for the NWF World Heavyweight Title in Tokyo, Japan, ending Powers' second title reign.

1975 - Terry Funk defeats Jack Brisco to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title in Miami, Florida. This match ended Brisco's second reign with the belt, and also made Terry and Dory Funk, Jr. the only brothers to both hold the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

1985 - Gama Singh defeats Bruce Hart in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for the Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Title, ending Bruce's fourth reign as champion.

1980 - The Mongolian Stomper defeats Jack Brisco for the NWA Georgia National Title in Atlanta, Georgia.

1989 - Stan Hansen & Genichiro Tenryu win back the All Japan World Tag Team Title by winning the annual Real World Tag League tournament in Tokyo, Japan. Hansen & Tenryu defeat Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu to win the tournament, 18 points to 16 for Tsuruta & Yatsu. The duo had vacated the belts at the start of the tournament, so they could be awarded to the winning team.

1989 - Candi Devine defeats Judy Martin for the AWA Women's World Title in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, starting her fifth reign as champion. The previous champion, Wendi Richter, had vacated the title and left the company. Devine herself would end up abandoning the title in 1990.

1942 - John Katan defeats Earl McCready for the Toronto British Empire Heavyweight Title in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, ending and beginning their respective second reigns.

1943 - Swedish Angel defeats Orville Brown to win the Kansas City version of the MWA World Heavyweight Title in Kansas City, Kansas, ending Brown's fifth reign.

1952 - Leo Jensen defeats Bonnie Muir for the vacant Australian Heavyweight Title in Sydney, Australia. The title had been vacant since champion Fred Atkins left the country in 1949.

1959 - Dory Funk, Sr. defeats Antoine Leone in Amarillo, Texas to win the Amarillo version of the NWA North American Heavyweight Title for the seventh time.

1960 - In San Bernadino, California, Stan Holek and The Preacher defeat Sandor Szabo and Edouard Carpentier for the NWA International Television Tag Team Title.

On this Day in Pro Wrestling History

1969 - NWA World Champion Dory Funk Jr. vs. Antonio Inoki ends in a 60-minute draw, the first NWA World Title match to be held in Japan in 12 years.

1974 - Blackjack Lanza defeats Fritz Von Erich in Dallas, Texas to win the NWA American Heavyweight Title, ending Von Erich's 11th reign as champion.

1974 - Giant Baba defeats Jack Brisco in Kagoshima, Japan to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title for the first time in his career.  He would lose it back to Brisco a week later.

1979 - The Assassins defeat Steve Regal & Hector Guerrero for the AWA Southern Tag Team Title in Memphis, Tennessee.

1983 - The Von Erichs (David, Kevin & Kerry) defeat The Fabulous Freebirds for the World Class Six-Man Championship in Dallas, Texas, starting the second reign as champions for the Von Erich brothers.  However, Michaels Hayes had lost a "loser leaves town" match to Kerry on November 24th, so he was not able to defend the six-man title with Buddy Roberts & Terry Gordy.  Instead, David, Kevin & Kerry defeated Roberts, Gordy, and NWA World Champion Ric Flair, who substituted for Hayes in the title match (and loss).

1978 - Ric Flair & Big John Studd defeat Paul Jones & Ricky Steamboat in Greenville, South Carolina to win the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Title.

1986 - Ashura Hara & Super Strong Machine (Junji Hirata) defeat Takashi Ishikawa & Mighty Inoue to win the All Japan All Asian Tag Team Title in Aomori, Japan.

1987 - The Original Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose, managed by Paul E. Dangerously, defeat Bill Dundee & Jerry Lawler for the AWA World Tag Team Title in Whitewater, Wisconsin, ending Lawler & Dundee's second reign after only four days. All totaled, Lawler & Dundee's two reigns, both taking place in October of 1987, added up to twelve days.

In 1990, NWA Halloween Havoc was held in Chicago, Illinois. This was the final NWA Havoc event, with future events being promoted by WCW exclusively

– Sting defeats Sid Vicious to retain the NWA World Title. The match featured the first ‘Switcheroo Sting’, where a wrestler impersonating Sting (on the wish of Sting’s opponent) wrestled some of the match

1956 - Fred Blassie defeats Wild Bull Curry to win the NWA Southern Heavyweight Title for the fourth time.

1972 - Johnny Valentine defeats Abdullah The Butcher to win the National Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Title in Cleveland, Ohio.

1972 - Bobby Shane defeats Tim Woods in Tampa, Florida to win the NWA Florida Television Title for the second time.

1985 - Carlos Colon defeats Abdullah The Butcher in San Juan, Puerto Rico to win the WWC Universal Heavyweight Title for the fourth time. The belt had been held up following a September 21st match between the two.

MAGNUM T.A (Terry Wayne Allen)

Allen started wrestling in 1977 and joined the National Wrestling Alliance, where he began competing for the Championship Wrestling from Florida and the Pacific Northwest Wrestling territories.  

In 1984, the National Wrestling Alliance's Jim Crockett Promotions signed Allen. After debuting, Magnum began feuding with Wahoo McDaniel and defeated him for the United States Heavyweight Championship on March 23, 1985.  At The Great American Bash, he successfully defended the title by defeating Kamala  He then began feuding with the Four Horsemen before feuding solely with Horsemen member Tully Blanchard and his valet Baby Doll.
