The promotion announced a major corporate shakeup today, most notably the promotion’s now-former CEO, Takaaki Kitani, has retired - effective yesterday. He has been replaced by former New Japan President Naoki Sugabayashi, who has been promoted to CEO. I don’t know the person’s full name yet but a new President has been appointed to replace Sugabayashi, and there were 2 new appointments to the New Japan Board Of Directors-Kaoru Mikumo, the sports bureau chief for Japanese broadcaster Asahi National Broadcasting Co., and Dosho Nishizawa. Also on the board is auditor Jun Iwasaki.
