The Shield Hit A Milestone

The Shield are now the fifth longest reigning WWE Tag-Team Champions in history with their tally currently standing at 148 days.

They are still behind Team Hell No (245 days), The Miz & John Morrison (250 days), Carlito & Primo (280 days) and Paul London & Brian Kendrick who top the charts with a 331 day title reign.

Those figures are taken from the WWE Tag-Team Championships inception in 2002. If you take into account that it was unified with the World Tag-Team titles which, in turn, recognised the lineage of the original WWF Tag-Team titles, then Mr Fuji & Professor Tanaka (337 days) and  The Valiant Brothers (370 days) also hold longer reigns. The current record length for a Tag-Title reign in WWE belongs to Demolition (Ax and Smash), who held the belts for 478 consecutive days after defeating Strike Force at Wrestlemania IV.
