On this Day in Pro Wrestling History


In 1997, the first ECW November to Remember PPV was held in Monaca, Pennsylvania (it was the 5th NtR event, but the first on PPV)
– Mikey Whipwreck defeats Justin Credible
– Taz defeats Pitbull #2 to retain the ECW Television Title
– The FBI (Tracey Smothers & Little Guido) defeat The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray & D-Von), The Hardcore Chair Swingin’ Freaks (Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten) & The Gangstanators (New Jack & John Kronus) in a 4-Way Match to retain the ECW Tag Team Titles
– Rob Van Dam fought Tommy Dreamer to a no contest in a Flag Match. Van Dam won the match, but the pinfall was counted by Doug Furnas, Phil LaFon and Stevie Richards rather than the designated referee and the result was later thrown out
– Sabu defeats The Sandman in a Tables & Ladder Match
– Shane Douglas defeats Bam Bam Bigelow to win the ECW World Title

1998 – on Raw, The Big Boss Man defeats Mankind in a Ladder Match to win the WWF Hardcore Title
2001 – Mitsuharu Misawa & Yoshinari Ogawa defeat Scorpio & Vader to win the GHC Tag Team Titles

2010 – Kaitlyn wins WWE NXT Season 3
