* “The Young Bucks” Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson have exploded on to the New Japan scene and today won the Super Jr. Tag Team Tournament at a sold out Korakuen Hall. They defeated Jado & Gedo in the opening match while Forever Hooligans defeated BUSHI & Valiente in the other semi. Then in the main event, the Bucks narrowly overcame Romero & Koslov to capture the tournament trophy. Matt & Nick now have a claim to challenge for TAKA & Taichi’s IWGP Jr. Tag Team Title in the near future. The Bullet Club beat up Chairman Sugabayashi after the match and their rampage continues ahead of Anderson’s challenge for Okada’s IWGP Heavyweight Title on Saturday.

* Kota Ibushi announced today that his first goal after becoming a New Japan wrestler will be to capture the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title from Prince Devitt, who has been so preoccupied with the Bullet Club and heavyweight division that he hasn’t defended the junior belt since July.

* New Japan returns to Yokohama Arena! For the first time in 11 years, New Japan will advance on the 16,000+ seat historic building on May 25th, 2014. The last show there was on 11/3/03, headline by Tenzan vs. Takayama with a series of New Japan vs. K-1 matches underneath. That drew 12,500 and they will be looking to do better next year with the promotion in a healthier state now.
