Carters Looking To Sell TNA...

...According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that is.

This is what he had to say:

"There's a lot of moves, there's a lot of moves that are being done behind the scenes, No matter what anyone is going to say right now, there's big things going on behind the scenes as far as the future ownership of the company, and at that point, god only knows where it goes."

"There's people looking to get in, and I think the Carters are looking to get out. They've lost enough money and all that, and you know as far as what that means, who knows. But they've been looking to get out for a while. Now everyone is going to scream at me, but that's 100%. That's the stuff that they don't want you know. They've been looking to get out when they didn't want to fund them anymore."

If this is true then it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone of course, there have been a lot of cost cutting measures recently and it's been reported a couple of times that the Carters are trying to make TNA as lean as possible before selling the promotion. In my opinion, it's about time that somebody else tried this hand at running the only real potential competition to WWE. Hopefully with somebody else in charge TNA can be more ruthless and business minded, start turning a profit and become a real competitor to the market leader.

There's a thread on the forum talking about TNAs downwards spiral, you can join in that discussion by clicking here
