Super Jnrs Tag-Tournament Results, Semi-Finals Set!

The Road To Power Struggle got underway today with the first matches of the Super Juniors Tag Tournament, these are the results - and the semi-final matches which are set for the sixth of November show.

1. Super Jr. Tag Tournament 2013 – Round 1: Valiente & BUSHI beat KUSHIDA & Yohei Komatsu(9:37) when BUSHI used the MX on Komatsu.

2. Super Jr. Tag Tournament 2013 – Round 1: Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson beat Brian Kendrick & Baretta (10:35) when Matt pinned Kendrick after the More Bang For Your Buck.

3. Super Jr. Tag Tournament 2013 – Round 1: Jado & Gedo beat Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask(9:16) when Gedo used the Gedo clutch on Tiger.

4. Super Jr. Tag Tournament 2013 – Round 1: Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov beat TAKA Michinoku & Taichi (9:06) when Koslov used a Gedo clutch on Taichi.

5. Minoru Suzuki beat Sho Tanaka (7:40) with a single-leg crab hold.

6. Manabu Nakanishi & Tomoaki Honma beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Captain New Japan (9:03) when Honma used the Kokeshi on Captain.

7. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Togi Makabe & Yuji Nagata beat Toru Yano, Takashi Iizuka & Tomohiro Ishii(11:27) when Iizuka was DQ’d.

8. Tetsuya Naito & Kota Ibushi beat Masato Tanaka & Yujiro Takahashi (11:52) when Ibushi used a Phoenix splash on Takahashi.

9. Karl Anderson, Prince Devitt & Bad Luck Fale beat Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & YOSHI-HASHI (16:19) when Anderson used the Gun Stun on YOSHI-HASHI.

* Round 1 exits for both the IWGP Jr. Tag and GHC Jr. Tag champions today in the Super Jr. Tag Tournament, with Forever Hooligans getting some quick revenge against TAKA & Taichi and Jado & Gedo beating fellow veteran team Liger & Tiger Mask. The Young Bucks debuted with a win over Kendrick & Barretta while Valiente & BUSHI defeated KUSHIDA & Komatsu. Semi final pairings below.

* Sakuraba saved his new friend Nagata after the six man tag when CHAOS were giving him a beatdown.

* Okada and Anderson brawled after the main event with the Bullet Club getting the upper hand and occupying the ring as Anderson took Okada’s IWGP Heavyweight Title and posed with it.

* New Japan announced the return of the NJPW x CMLL “FANTASTICA MANIA” shows for January 2014 and promised they would be held on an “expanded scale” after previous successes.
