The American duo won the first semi final today over Makabe & Honma, while Tenzan & Kojima earned some revenge over the IWGP Tag Team Champions, Killer Elite Squad, in the other, setting up a rematch from 12/3 in Hakata where Anderson & Gallows beat TenKoji. And they did again! Anderson, for the third time in his career with his third different partner, won the tag league by pinning Tenzan following the Magic Killer. The new team then demanded an IWGP Tag Team Title shot so could face Archer & Smith at the Tokyo Dome on 1/4!
* Hirooki Goto appeared during the show and announced he will be returning to action very soon. Goto was injured during the G1 Climax, where he was impressing, and nominated Katsuyori Shibata, his former university classmate, as his return match opponent. The two were embroiled in an intense series of matches before Goto’s injury.
