The following was posted on the Family Wrestling Entertainment Facebook Page yesterday:
Although most people recognize that Ring of Honor is the third largest promotion in the United States, it's still extremely difficult, if not impossible, for performers to make a living off their ROH paydays alone.
"Got some shitty news for everyone. Ring of Honor has decided their talent can no longer appear on our iPPV's. This means that ROH has pulled Mike Bennett, ROH pulled the surprise return of Matt Taven and for the second show in a row ROH has pulled Jay Lethal. Replacements will be named shortly and we apologize for the misunderstanding."
The fact that ROH are preventing them from appearing in other events where they could receive a payoff as well as some exposure outside the promotion seems counter productive. It will be interesting to see if anything else develops from this.
